Red Earth was selected as preferred developer by Torridge District Council in 2017 for the regeneration of this important historic site in East-the-Water, Bideford.

The proposals will bring vital economic regeneration to this long-neglected site.  The unique river frontage makes this site ideal for residential, retail, restaurant and design creativity opportunities.

Red Earth is committed to working collaboratively with Torridge District Council and other stakeholders to maximize potential for Bideford as a whole.  The aim is for the residential, retail and restaurant elements to complement and enhance the existing, mainly independent traders, that already make Bideford such a special town.

Red Earth achieved full updated planning consent in 2024 and is now working to finalise the design, planning to start construction in 2025.
